Luck You Kyoto offers accommodation in Kyoto. Free luggage storage is available. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. We just loved our stay at Luck You. Traveling for the first time in Japan as a family of 4 (with two younger kids aged 8 and 11) it was not easy finding ryokans and hotels that were suitable. But Luck You met and exceeded all our expectations. It was in a convenient and central location close to many restaurants and cafes. We booked the premier room that slept four and we found it to be large, light and clean. The futons were fun to sleep on (especially for the kids) and they reasonably comfortable (for futons!). You can ask for a second futon layer if you prefer the extra padding. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, and there were western and more traditional Japanese options. Where Luck You exceeded our expectations was the customer service - all staff members were very helpful and friendly and were happy to go above and beyond to make our stay a special one. We also appreciated the little charming touches in and around the ryokan such as the exquisite flower arrangements and the beautiful cotton kimonos and traditional clogs/slippers for use inside. And the kids loved the "Happy Hour" when they could make their own hot chocolates and sit in the ryokan lounge of an evening. In sum, Luck You was by far our best accommodation experience overall and it was a lovely gentle introduction to Japanese culture. We will definitely return.

Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Very serene, comfortable setting. Accommodation and hospitality of host were excellent.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The room si beautiful old Japanese style room, bed was very comfortable, amenities are generous and various. The location is perfect, near to accommodation in the center of the famous gion district. Hosts are very kind and fully available. We spent a wonderful stay.

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Provides accommodation located 600 metres from the centre of Kyoto and offers an open-air bath and a shared lounge. Spent the night here in Kyoto and wish I had booked another one! The staff is very friendly, prompt and kindly let us leave our bags before check-in and after check-out. The dinner option was also spectacular, with fluent english staff and a great pace to have a wagyu tasting.

Located within less than 1 km of Gion Shijo Station and a 15-minute walk of Samurai Kembu Kyoto, Ishibekoji Muan provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kyoto. Staff were unbelievably welcoming

Set less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Oyado Kikutani offers 3-star accommodation in Kyoto and features a garden. Rooms are very comfortable, in the bath you have a bathtub that is really joyful. Staff was very nice as well. I enjoyed the hotels japenese style breakfast first day but on the second day me and my gf are kinda bored of eating fish on the breakfast so they gave us a coupon that covered our breakfast at the coffe 100 m away from the hotel. I can recommend. Location is also 8-10 minutes away from GION district.

Situated in Kyoto, 800 metres from Heian Shrine, 明和荘Mei Wa Inn features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. Great location away from the crowds but a very short distance away from pretty much all the hot spots. It’s generally pretty rare to find a place with this much space in a major city in Japan for what is honestly a steal of a price. The host went far and beyond what I expected and honestly did a better job helping our group plan activities and restaurants than many hotel concierges I have dealt with.

Every aspect of our stay was great but the hospitality of the hosts and staff is what truly stands out. The attention to every single details is also amazing and noticeable from the moment you step in.
