Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Kellemes környezetben, a hegyek árnyékában található a hotel. A személyzet udvarias, kedves és segítőkész. Bármilyen kérdésünk, problémánk volt, abban rögtön a segítségünkre siettek. A szobánk egy hagyományosan berendezett japán stílusú szoba volt, kényelmes futon matracokkal, tradícionális japán yukata "pizsamákkal". Izgalmas volt kipróbálni ezt a fajta alvást, de biztosan állíthatom, hogy kényelmes és pihentető a padlón, matracon való alvás. A szállodán belül papucsban kell közlekedni, amit biztosítottak a számunkra. Az onsen férfi és női részre volt elválasztva, mindkettő izgalmas lmény volt. A külső onsen használatát javaslom, mert kellemesebb az időjárás, és hallani lehet a szálloda mellett csörgedező patak morajlását, a természet hangjait. Az onsenbe való belépés előtt le kell fürödni, ez gyerekkel kicsit körülményes volt, de megoldottuk! A szálláshely második szintjén társalgó van, könyvekkel, társasjátékokkal és egy kitűnően felszerelt konyhával, ahol bárki elkészítheti a saját ételét.

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. Excellent stay and exceptional staff. The meals were beyond! My mom does not eat fish and the staff went above and beyond to make separate meals for her. Loved the location. Walking distance to the train and an amazing Open Air Museum. We'd be lucky enough to stay again!

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. We’re from Canada and I brought my Brazilian roomie with me to visit my home country. I truly liked the hot spring and how it’s not a “too touristy” location. We were there in the holiday season but because it’s a hidden jem Ryokan, we were able to have both the “daiyokujo” and “Roten buro” all to ourselves (we did go late at night and early morning). They also have 24h ashiyu (foot hot tub) which was super awesome. I had beer while planning for the next day and just chilled there all by myself for an hr.

Everything was perfectly organized, from pick-up, to meals, to extras. The hospitality was outstanding, and all the recommendations we got (for example, for a 1-day outing; the hotel provided a free drop-off by car there) were great.

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Great location and experience. Friendly owners who were very helpful and knowledgeable on area. We were lucky to be the only guests when we stayed so had full access to the onsen.We really enjoyed this as part of our trip and would recommend over a standard hotel.

A Tokió központjában elhelyezkedő cyashitsu ryokan asakusa légkondicionált szobákkal, bárral, ingyenes wifihozzáféréssel és közös társalgóval is várja vendégeit. The ryokan style room and private open air bath is exceptional, and the staff hospitality were awesome it's exceed my expectation. Since i'm prefer green tea more than roasted green tea in the morning, they provide me with the green tea in the breakfast menu for my breakfast set, didn't expecting that. Overall, very satisfied with this ryokan, will back for sure.

The breakfast is quite amazing for its taste and variety. I would stay with them absolutely when next time I travel to Hakone.

From the moment we arrived at this traditional Tokyo inn, our experience was nothing short of wonderful, largely thanks to our exceptional host. Fluent in English, he was not only a treasure trove of local knowledge, sharing insights and tips about Tokyo, but also incredibly attentive. He performed a good luck ritual for us upon departure, assisted with our luggage, and even served us tea on our last day, adding a personal touch to our stay. The inn itself is a perfect blend of the old and the new. While it retains its traditional charm, evident in its structure and decor, the facilities are modern and impeccably maintained. The cleanliness of the place was noteworthy. Our room, furnished with comfortable futons and well-preserved tatami carpets, provided a genuine Japanese living experience. In terms of location, the inn is conveniently situated. A supermarket is just a 2-3 minute walk away, while both a 7-Eleven and a Lawson store are within a 5-minute stroll. The Minami Senju station, reachable in about 10 minutes on foot, offers easy access to major districts like Akiba and Ueno. Furthermore, the iconic Asakusa area, home to the Sky Tree and Sensoji Temple, is a leisurely 30-40 minute walk from the inn. This accommodation far surpasses a typical 3-star hotel in Tokyo in terms of both charm and service. It comes highly recommended for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of Tokyo while enjoying modern comforts. A hidden gem indeed!
